It's been a while since 'Two and a Half Men' went off the air, but a lot of the show's former fans are still wrapped up in the drama. After Charlie Sheen's exit and Ashton Kutcher's joining up, fans really thought the show had some staying power.
But then, it all fell apart. And amid the drama of the show's end were comments that Angus T. Jones made about the series. These days, fans aren't thrilled about what Jones has said, for a specific reason.
What Has Angus T. Jones Said About 'Two And A Half Men'?
Most fans already know that Angus T. Jones, who played Jake on the show, later spoke out against the series for, essentially, going against his morals.
And at first, some not only agreed with his complaints about the immoral events the show depicted, but they also supported Jones' complaints.
The thing is, Jones began speaking out while he was still under contract with 'Two and a Half Men.' He complained about the series while continuing to go to work on the set of the show.
And fans weren't really thrilled about that.
If Angus T. Jones Was Unhappy, Why Didn't He Quit?
Fans of 'Two and a Half Men' congregated to discuss Angus' "rant" about the show after it emerged that Rainn Wilson had 'mocked' him.
Rainn posted a video on social media saying things like "Dwight from 'The Office' is nothing, OK? 'The Office' is nothing, all right? If you watch 'The Office,' please don't watch 'The Office.' I'm on 'The Office.' It's filth. And that filth will rot your brain."
Fans will note this is essentially what Angus T. Jones said about his show, and clearly, Wilson was making fun of Jones. The thing is, fans say that Wilson has the right idea.
If Jones really hated the show, they pointed out, why didn't he just quit?
One commenter specifically referred to Charlie Sheen being "canceled," saying that if Angus "want[ed] out that bad," he should have had the nerve to "pull a Charlie Sheen."
And despite his protestations against the show's lack of morals, some say that Angus T. Jones didn't "care enough to get out of it." Various fans' comments echo the idea that one commenter so succinctly summed up: "Like most people his moral language is trumped by his desire to make buckets of money."
It's up to fans to decide what they believe, or who they side with, but if money was all that was on the table, surely morals would have won out?
