As any Andy Cohen fan should already know, Watch What Happens Live may just be the most revealing talk show ever. After all, even though there have been other talk show hosts who are considered the best, most stars only tell anecdotes when they appear on late night TV. However, WWHL is the kind of show that gets someone like Lindsay Lohan to talk about the celebrities she's been intimate with.
Similar to the stars who go on his show, Andy Cohen is often open about things like when he feels snubbed and his opinion of "cancel culture." As a result, it isn't surprising that Andy has spoken about music superstar Lady Gaga, who is very rich and famous. However, nobody could have expected Andy to say that Lady Gaga's pee is a permanent part of Watch What Happens Live.
How Andy Cohen Wound Up Turning Lady Gaga's Pee Into Perfume
Looking back at Andy Cohen's career in the entertainment industry, there is no doubt that he has led a fascinating life. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that Andy released a book titled “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year” in 2014.
While making the rounds to promote that book, Andy made an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show." As Howard interviewed Andy about his life and book, the subject of Lady Gaga came up, and a strange event was detailed.
While talking to Howard Stern, Andy revealed to the radio host that Lady Gaga definitely made her mark on Watch What Happens Live. The reason for that is the strange fact that Andy had Lady Gaga's pee turned into perfume. The story of what led to Andy turning Lady Gaga's pee into perfume can be heard in a YouTube upload of a clip from Howard's show.
In 2013, Lady Gaga made her one and only appearance on Watch What Happens Live to date.

Cher Admitted That Lady Gaga Left Her Feeling 'Disappointed' After Refusing To Release Their Song
Cher was deeply upset by Lady Gaga's decision not to release a song they recorded together.
Instead of just having someone get rid of Lady Gaga's pee, Andy came up with the idea to have it put in a perfume bottle. That way, Lady Gaga's pee could be stored on Watch What Happens Live's set alongside the show's other unique celebrity artifacts. "So I said, get that perfume and put it in some kind of fancy bottle, and we'll have Gaga's pee in the perfume bottle. We'll have it in the clubhouse, and that's a great piece of pop culture."
During Andy Cohen's appearance on "The Howard Stern Show," he listed some of the other celebrity artifacts that are a part of his talk show's set. "We have all this pop culture memorabilia in The Club House — Lindsay Lohan’s cigarette butt, a breast implant that was removed from a ‘Real Housewife,’ and on and on.”
However, Andy explained to Howard that a member of the show's crew pointed out that there was a problem.
"Well, what happened is my PA came to me a couple days later and said, 'Lady Gaga's pee is gonna get toxic.' Because that's what happens to pee."
Based on what that production assistant pointed out, Andy's plan to have Lady Gaga always on his set seemed like it was going to fail.
Watch What Happens Live is known for how unique and unpredictable the show can be. The New York Times even published an article about that in June 2024 titled "Anything Can Happen, and Usually Does, on Watch What Happens Live."
Fortunately for Andy, however, the same PA also presented him with a solution to the Lady Gaga's pee going toxic problem. The PA made a suggestion that Andy approved. Andy agreed to have Lady Gaga's pee turned into perfume.
"He said, 'But I found a recipe online where you can turn urine into perfume.' And I said, 'Are you kidding?' And this guy is, like, a hilarious PA. I said, 'Do it. Do it. Get it done. Go have a science fair.'"
As amazing as it is to imagine the PA making the perfume, that isn't the end of the story.

Alan Cumming Told Andy Cohen Who The Funniest Players Are From The Traitors
The Traitors host Alan Cumming explained to Andy Cohen which competitors from the show were hilarious.
Of course, everyone knows that Lady Gaga is a truly unique celebrity. Similarly, Johnny Knoxville isn't the average famous person. With that in mind, it makes sense that Johnny later got involved in the story. While discussing the Lady Gaga pee perfume, Howard Stern wanted to know how it smells.
Despite Howard Stern's fascination with this story and his infamous reputation, he told Andy that he would have been bothered by Lady Gaga peeing in a trash can. "I would have been disgusted by that."
After Howard asked Andy if he knew how the perfume smelled, Andy confirmed he did. Andy then told Howard that he knew how it smelled because he sprayed it on the Jackass star. Andy also described how the perfume smelled.
"I did. I sprayed it on Johnny Knoxville when he was on it because it seemed appropriate... It smells kinda like dressed up pee with a floral note, I guess."
While talking to Andy about the Lady Gaga perfume situation, Howard also had an obvious question for him. Why did Lady Gaga pee in a garbage bin? In response, Andy explained why Lady Gaga had a reason to want to avoid the bathroom on Watch What Happens Live's set.
"I think she didn't wanna go through there was a whole office you have to go through. It's kind of a screwed up setup. And so she would have had to clump through all these people, and I think she had to go. And she was hanging out in this room, and she's like, I'm gonna piss in this trash can."
Andy Cohen Told Lady Gaga About Turning Her Pee Into Perfume
After Lady Gaga appeared on Watch What Happens Live, she obviously liked Andy Cohen. After all, Lady Gaga would go on to choose Andy for a project and the two of them worked together on something remarkable.

Drew Barrymore Can't Forgive Herself For Her Embarrassing Watch What Happens Live Interview
Drew Barrymore was mortified by how she acted when Andy Cohen interviewed her for Watch What Happens Live.
After Lady Gaga appeared on WWHL in September 2013, Andy Cohen appeared in her music video for the song "G.U.Y.," which was released in March 2014. When it was released, Lady Gaga called into WWHL to talk about why she included Andy in the "G.U.Y." music video. An article from Bravo's website from the time of the music video's release revealed what Lady Gaga said.
"Well, in the story, where I am beginning as a Phoenix, rising from the ashes, I go to the Hearst Castle in order to be brought back to life. As the people from Venus dump me into the Neptune pool, I am snapped back into reality by reality television! We wanted you to play Zeus, or God in the sky, because I feel as though reality TV and reality media really run our lives. It's really an image of how I think pop culture is today. You are God, obviously."
Given that Lady Gaga tapped Andy to portray a God-like figure, it is interesting that she clearly knows that he had her pee turned into perfume.
While talking to Howard Stern during the aforementioned radio show appearance, Andy told him that he told Lady Gaga about the perfume during a White House event. In fact, Andy revealed that he interrupted a conversation Lady Gaga was having with the Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai to tell her about the perfume.
After hearing that, Howard wanted to know if Lady Gaga was upset with Andy for interrupting the conversation. However, Andy assured the legendary radio host that Lady Gaga wasn't upset with him at all. "No. No. No. No. She was happy to see me, and it was a gentle maneuver."
