Welcome To Plathville: Why Fans Are Sick Of Kim Plath
Kim Plath's hypocrisy and behavior has fans up in arms.
Kim Plathville’s Kids Are Concerned With Her Living Arrangements
In a sneak peek clip shared exclusively by Us Weekly, Ethan Plath, 26, is stunned as he steps aboard his mom’s new abode. “This is your home?” he asks with a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
Kim, 51, tries to play it cool, responding with a casual “Yeah” and adding, “Well, there’s more to it. It’s not just this.”
“Looking at the boat, I think we’re all thinking the same thing, but none of us are actually saying it,” Moriah quips in a confessional. She throws shade with, “The boat doesn’t run. Do the lights work? How does this even work?”
Micah isn’t holding back either, questioning, “How far do you have to go to go to the bathroom? How far do you have to go to shower?” He doesn’t mince words about the “water looking kinda brown,” clearly unimpressed by his mom’s new digs.

What Max Kallschmidt Really Does For A Living Aside From Angering Fans Of Welcome To Plathville
Moriah Plath's relationship with Max Kallschmidt was the subject of a lot of controversy on the hit reality show.
Welcome to Plathville first graced our screens in 2019, giving us a peek into the lives of Kim and Barry Plath and their nine children. The show, which airs on TLC, highlights the family’s unique lifestyle and the challenges they face as they navigate their conservative values and everyday struggles.
But things took a surprising turn in December 2021 when Kim and Barry announced their separation after over two decades of marriage. Kim’s dramatic lifestyle change, moving from Georgia to a houseboat in Florida, came as a result of her split from Barry, 56. The couple's separation left Kim reevaluating her life and embracing a new, albeit unconventional, chapter.
She now shares the boat with her youngest daughters, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy, while her other children, including Ethan, Micah, and Moriah, remain less than thrilled about the transition.
Ethan Worries For His Sisters Living On The Boat
Ethan, who’s still holding down the fort in Minnesota after his split from wife Olivia Plath in 2023, is visibly put off by the whole scenario. He bluntly asks Kim, who now lives on the boat with her daughters, “Does it run?” Kim’s nonchalant response, “It hasn’t run in a year,” doesn’t do much to ease his concerns.
As Kim gives him a tour of the cramped kitchen and cozy sleeping nook, Ethan can’t help but air his frustrations. “My mom went from her and my dad and all these kids in this house to split and then she’s on the boat. That’s home now,” he reveals.
“And the boat doesn’t even run. She can’t get on the water,” Ethan continued. “She’s stuck in the dock.” He adds with a touch of melancholy, “I guess all I can say is, just things are different now.”
In the end, it’s clear that while Kim is charting a new course for herself, her children are still grappling with the changes. Whether or not Kim’s houseboat adventure will become her new sanctuary or just another chapter in the Plath family saga remains to be seen.
