Actors Joey King and Jacob Elordi met on the set of the Netflix teen rom-com The Kissing Booth back in January 2017, and soon after they began dating. In the movie, they play love interests Elle Evans and Noah Flynn, and the 2018 movie was such a success that Netflix decided to make two more sequels — The Kissing Booth 2 which was released in 2020, and The Kissing Booth 3 which was released in 2021.

How Did Joey King Feel About Working With Jacob Elordi Again?
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Joey King addressed how it felt to act alongside her ex. As fans know, Joey King and Jacob Elordi ended up working together on The Kissing Booth 2 and The Kissing Booth 3 after their breakup — and in the movies, they play love interests.
"No one's thinking to themselves, 'That was easy,' because it wasn't," King admitted. "I'm sure people will analyze every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again."
The actress added that she prioritized her character over her personal life. "Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I'll do anything to make sure the story of my character, who I care about so much, is complete."
Joey King Admitted She Doesn't Want To Date Actors Anymore
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Joey King opened up about her thoughts on dating fellow actors. "I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough," she said.
King admitted that she doesn't regret dating her co-star Jacob Elordi. "I think it’s a good thing we dated in the first place. I learned the most I’ve ever learned in my life from him," she revealed. However, when asked if she can see herself dating an actor again, King replied "No, I couldn't. I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough."
What Did Joey King Call Jacob Elordi Out On?
After the release of The Kissing Booth 2, Jacob Elordi revealed to Variety in an interview that he hadn't seen the Netflix hit he stars in. "I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t. Do you like it?" Elordi said to the interviewer.
While fans were surprised the actor hadn't watched his own movie, his ex Joey King called him out on Twitter. There, she wrote "Jacob watched it. He’s capping." However, quickly after she deleted the tweet which made many believe that the two are not on good terms anymore.
During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, King addressed the tweet as well. The actress said that "capping means lying."
She added that she discovered the term on social media, and she guessed "this is a new thing." King admitted that she received permission from her ex to write the tweet as he "had a good sense of humor", but that she ended up deleting it for a different reason. "It’s something I should not have used as a white person. I took it down … two accounts on Twitter called me out for it, that’s why I deleted it,” King revealed.
Elordi hasn't commented on the tweets, and it is still unclear whether the actor indeed watched the second or third installment of the franchise or not. However, it seems as if the actor doesn't have any hard feelings toward his ex.
After the premiere of The Kissing Booth 3, Elordi mentioned Joey King in his Instagram Stories where he wrote "And one from the start @joeyking. Thank you all of you."
After their split, Joey King began dating producer Steven Piet in September 2019, and in February 2022 the two got engaged.
Jacob Elordi, on the other hand, had more relationships. In 2019, he was linked to his Euphoria co-star Zendaya, from September 2020 until November 2021 he dated model Kaia Gerber, and most recently he was linked to social media star Olivia Jade. It certainly seems as if both actors have fully moved on from each other.
