Jill Zarin made her debut as a cast member on the Real Housewives of New York back in 2007. While her personality was big, her bank account was clearly bigger!
Zarin and her late husband, Bobby were loved amongst Bravo fans, mainly due to Jill's yenta ways, which had her connected to some of the most well-known people in NYC. Despite her status, Jill left the show following season 4, leaving fans completely heartbroken.
In addition to viewers wondering whether she and Ramona are still friends or not, fans want to know exactly what Jill has been up to since her departure. So, what is Jill Zarin doing today? Let's find out!
What Has Jill Zarin Been Up To?
Jill Zarin was easily the matriarch of RHONY during its debut. The star was the connector as she put it, and was the glue that held the group together, considering the ladies lived quite separate lives at the time.
While the Real Housewives now goes about things differently, Jill definitely paved the way for countless 'wives to comes.
Although she made fabulous television and had millions of fans, the New York City native was reportedly fired from the show after four seasons following a letter she had written to her co-stars claiming it was perhaps time to bow out gracefully while she was still at the top.
Her departure from the show definitely took some adjusting, however, the series found itself back on track and continued to be one of the most watch Housewives shows of all time.
Today, Jill still works in fashion, however, one of the biggest changes to her life was losing her husband, Bobby Zarin. The mogul was easily one of the most loved husbands on any franchise, which made his passing in 2018 to cancer a very tough pill to swallow.
Many former Housewives stars attended the funeral, including Bethenny Frankel, who had been estranged from Jill since their feud back in 2011.
While Jill had the support of her daughter, Allyson, and her many friends, she found herself falling in love all over again when she began dating Gary Brody that same year.
Although guilt is normal when moving on from the passing of a spouse, Zarin made it clear that Bobby would have wanted her to continue living her life.
Now, Jill is the owner of Jill Zarin Home and Fashion, where she works alongside Ally. Despite making it clear that she wouldn't return to Bravo, it appears as if Jill might actually be playing a major role in the upcoming Real Housewives: All-Stars special.
It was revealed that 7 cast members from 4 different shows would be flying out to the Turks and Caicos for a 4-episode special, rumors are swirling that an 8th member will be joining as a surprise, and all the clues are pointing to Jill.
The star revealed during her most recent Instagram story that she is heading away for a "surprise" trip and it just so happens to fall during the same time the women will be filming for All-Stars.
If the rumors were to be true, Jill would be joining RHONJ stars, Teresa Giudice, and Melissa Gorga, RHOA stars, Kenya Moore, and Cynthia Bailey, RHOBH star, Kyle Richards, and former RHONY co-stars, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer.
While Jill nor Bravo has confirmed the rumors, it would be a dream come true for long-time viewers, who have been begging Jill to return to the show.
Well, now that she's running her own business, blossoming in her new relationship, and working with her daughter, perhaps a quick visit back to Bravo wouldn't hurt!
