Fans Call Abby Lee Miller "Bitter" For Dissing Dance Moms

Abby Lee Miller told fans not to watch Dance Moms, but they could check out her podcast on YouTube

Abby Lee Miller may not have been the nicest on Dance Moms, but she was one of the draws of the reality show. It doesn't come as a surprise that she still has admirers. But when Abby Lee Miller met a fan on a random day at a store, the moment turned out to be less than perfect.

A fan recounted her awkward meeting with Abby Miller on Reddit, describing the performer as unpleasant.

"She [Miller] came to my work this morning and willingly took pictures with me and my coworkers! She made some crazy comments about dance moms and Maddie," the post started.

The account further described Miller dissuading people from watching the reality show, stating, "They don't pay me anymore." Most likely, Miller does not get royalties anymore from re-runs or syndication of Dance Moms, but she apparently didn't elaborate.

Miller also ranted about her former star dancer, Maddie Ziegler, saying "She's not a very nice girl." Miller and Ziegler are no longer on speaking terms after their falling out toward the end of the show.

The account got other fans of the show disappointed in Miller, calling her "bitter" for having resentful feelings towards the show after it earned her a sizable fortune.

Also, many reactions came to Maddie Ziegler's defense, calling Miller the petty one for still holding a grudge. "Just goes to show that Abby never truly cared about Maddie. As soon as Maddie wasn't a paycheck for her, Abby no longer cared about her well-being or success," a fan wrote.

Some were surprised Miller did not get paid anymore, but excited to go watch the show. "I would never watch it because I didn’t want to put any money in Abby Lee Miller's pocket," a fan noted while explaining why they didn't want to continue the show.

Others find her hypocritical telling people not to watch the show but always talk about the dance reality show on her podcast; "Interesting that she’s saying not to watch the show when she has a podcast where she always tries to get the audience to rewatch certain episodes."

Abby Lee Miller will feature heavily on the show through cut clips from the original show. However, the reality star says she wouldn't be getting a penny from the show because the show runner cut her off.

"I saw the trailer and all I can say is that the producers clearly cannot come up with anything new," Miller said.

"They are still using the same old footage, still using the same old conflicts, and still trying to make me look as bad as possible. They are still using me."

Miller told Daily Mail that the show is reaping off her hard work because "Those beautiful girls that are on this reunion are girls that I helped to raise," she said. "The girls who break down in tears on the trailer are girls that would not have become who they are without me. I helped raise them."

She continued: "They are now successful, confident, and pretty da** wealthy. They all got paid $50,000 to do this reunion. I was not asked to be in it, and I didn’t get paid anything. Save your tears for the pillow."

This explains why Miller threw shades at the show when she ran into a fan and pointed out she was not getting paid.

The reunion airs in May 2024, 13 years since the first episode aired on Lifetime and four years after the final episode aired in September 2019.
