Jennie Nguyen was fired from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after her problematic Facebook posts were revealed to the public. She was only on the show for one season.

Bravo responded to the situation in January 2022, shortly after fans of the show had created a change.org petition to ensure the reality TV star was fired. The network posted to Instagram to make a statement on the situation.

"We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions."

Fans were appreciative of the network's quick decision-making. Jennie has stayed out of the public eye since the incident. What is the Utah housewife doing now that the dust has settled, and she is no longer featured on the reality show?

How Did Jennie Nguyen Respond To Getting Fired From The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City?

Jennie Nguyen appeared to initially blame her team for the Facebook posts rather than taking responsibility for them

Jennie was incredibly apologetic when her Facebook posts came to light. In January 2022, Jennie held a live stream via her Instagram page where she apologized and told her side of the story.

“I just want you to understand my point of view and where I come from and what's going on during that time. I mean, it's an old post on my account, it's in 2020. I just want you to understand, during that time I had a team of people that were helping me."

Some fans thought she was trying to shift the blame to her team members by saying it was them who posted the status, but she took full accountability for the “inappropriate and disgusting” things that were said.

"Whether they post it, I post it, it doesn't really matter at this point."

"For me, it's on my account, and I take full responsibility and accountability for what was posted,” said Jennie.

After her apology tour, Jennie got back to living her regular life. She and her husband, who were fighting over the idea of adding more children to their family, seem to be doing well. She’s posted numerous shots of the pair to her Instagram, where they look incredibly happy.

She’s even still plugging advertisements via her Instagram, with the latest being a sponsored post for the product “The Pluto Dreamlight.”

Jennie also has a link to Sakura Co on her Instagram, a subscription box company that specializes in procuring authentic Japanese snacks and candies for their subscribers.

Jennie hasn’t kept in contact with her co-stars since being fired. Housewife Jen Shah, was incredibly offended by Jennie’s remarks. After Jennie admitted that the posts did come from her personal Facebook account, Jen spoke freely about how hurt she was by Jennie.

"I must now stand up, on behalf of my husband and sons who are African American, to say that I am deeply offended by the racially insensitive posts and comments."

She claimed that Jennie’s apology was disingenuous, saying her actions “made a mockery of and showed complete apathy towards those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seated social justice issues that plague our country."

Whitney Rose, via Instagram, said she was shocked and saddened by the news about Jennie.

“There is so much deep seeded discrimination and racism rooted in our country, and we all need to do better and work together to make a change."

Meredith Marks tweeted the word “Vile” after the initial allegations against Jennie surfaced. Once Jennie confirmed the posts to be true, Meredith further expressed her disgust about the situation via Twitter.

“Since it was not perfectly clear in my previous tweet and I can now speak out in more depth, I am sickened by my co-worker’s racist and prejudicial posts that recently surfaced."

It doesn’t seem like producers or fans are interested in having Jennie Nguyen return to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. There is one RHOSLC housewife still holding out hope for her return. Lisa Barlow thinks Jennie should be given a second chance. Lisa had been friends with Jennie for years prior to Jennie joining the show and even helped make her introduction to the casting agents. She called the firing a tough decision when talking to TMZ.

"I think everyone in life deserves a second chance. That’s what we’re trying to do – just be a little bit better every single day, and hopefully, we learn from our mistakes and don’t make them again, and I think that’s how we learn sometimes. We have to make mistakes to learn."

Lisa harbors no harsh feelings or ill wills toward Jennie either. “You know, Jennie’s always been nice to me, so I hope everything’s good with Jennie, and she’s always been really busy,” said Lisa.

Mary M. Cosby was reportedly coming back for season four of the hit reality show, but that never materialized. While Mary didn’t make viewers quite as mad as Jennie did, she wasn’t necessarily a fan favorite. If anything, fans love Mary for her quirkiness and erratic behavior, complimented by her crazy personal life.
