With all the issues surrounding Hilaria Baldwin, it’s only natural that we have a little curiosity around her family history. We’re all very aware of Alec Baldwin, as well as Hailey Baldwin (AKA Hailey Bieber, no matter how much contention there might be about that by now). But what about the other family members? For instance, did you know that there’s currently a whole subreddit basically dedicated to digging up dirt about her brother, Jeremy Hayward-Thomas? We certainly didn’t, but we’re glad we did. He’s nowhere close to being as famous as his sister, which seems to be a running theme for the brothers of famous ladies. Hayward-Thomas, unlike Rob Kardashian, isn’t bothered by it. In fact, he seems happy to not get wrapped up in drama. While Hilaria Baldwin isn’t the first celebrity to be accused of appropriation, she’s certainly one that’s kept it up for a very long time. What does Jeremy have to say about it? Is he in on this distortion too? Let’s dig in.
He’s Pretty Removed From It All
One of the things that’s worth noting about Jeremy Hayward-Thomas is that he’s really quite normal. He’s never been in a tabloid spotlight, he’s never caused a grand international disaster, and, until recently, he never caused a controversy. The guy has a wife and a family and lives his life doing what he loves. He’s been removed from Hilaria Baldwin’s life, more or less, and seems to be perfectly happy. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been complicit in the scheme (we use that word because, yeah, falsifying your background feels a little scheme-y) of Hilaria Baldwin.
He’s Kind Of Complicit
And we do mean “kind of”. He certainly isn’t as close to Hillary... sorry, Hilaria, as others. But he’s close enough to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. Why is that? Some folks think that he fulfills more of the “look” that she wants to portray. Stereotypical, but it seems like she got her wish, as that happened many, many years ago and nobody caught on until the past few weeks.
At least he has more of a legitimate claim to Spain than she does. While both of them grew up in the States, Jeremy spends most of his time in Inca (or close to it) with his wife. Locals know him and say, 'I'd read the story about Hilaria Baldwin because it's been published in the newspapers here but I hadn't picked up on the fact she was Jeremy's sister. I know Jeremy and his Spanish wife because they've been regulars for years and I've met his parents. But to the best of my knowledge Hilaria's never been here. I didn't even know Jeremy had a sister.”
And let’s not forget the best part about it: “Jeremy's parents understand Spanish and speak it but with a foreign accent and Jeremy is fairly fluent. But when they're together here, they speak to each other in English.” Jeremy’s accent is more consistent than Hilaria’s!
Outside of that, he’s a pretty normal guy. Sure, he runs a weird health business. But we all make money somehow, right? And let’s face it: any brother of Hilaria Baldwin is going to look very, very normal by comparison no matter what.
