While Russell has been busy with his acting, producing, and comedian career in the last few years, Laura has been active as well. She recently released two more books: The Joy Journal for Grown Ups and Slow Down and Be Here Now.
Besides her writing, she is also excitedly organizing an event with her husband called Community, in which a large lineup of names will take part in a three-day festival in Hay-On-Wye, United Kingdom. Who Is Laura Gallacher?
Laura Brand, formerly known as Laura Gallacher, may look familiar to some as she is the sister of Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher. She is also the daughter of famous golfer Bernard Gallacher. Laura used to work in the restaurant industry, but moved forward in the fashion business.
She has since created the online shop, The Joy Journal, a brand that sells unique dungarees on their online shop – which she says she was inspired to launch after making a pair for a pal. “I wanted to give her something personal and fun. She’s an artistic woman and Mum to two young children,” Laura explained.
“Then it clicked. I’d create her some baby pink work overalls, personalized with her name, something that is full of joy, in which she can create joy. Other friends saw them and wanted them, I made more…,” she further added.
Her venture into the world of fashion has been such a success that Laura authored and released her own book called The Joy Journal, which features 50 activities parents and children can participate in together. “I have a love of creative craft and I have put that love into writing and illustrating a book,” she said.
From being a former restaurateur to becoming an artist, yoga instructor, and a book author, Laura is a success in her own right. No doubt she has been able to inspire her husband, Russell. How Did Russell Brand And Laura Gallacher Meet?

Russell Brand may have been married to Katy in the past, but he is absolutely head over heels for Laura Gallacher. Let’s take a look at when he first laid eyes on her.
The award-winning actor randomly bumped into his childhood sweetheart, Laura, at a canal in 2015. The duo had been an item as teenagers before things ended unexpectedly, but after their chance meeting they decided to give things another try and, fortunately, tied the knot two years later in 2017 at Remenham Church near their home in Henley-on-Thames, England.
Laura said in a 2019 interview, “When we first met we were both in a completely different place.” She further explained that she “immediately knew” their relationship was going to be serious when they started dating again. She admitted, “I hadn’t seen Russell for years… I came down the steps to the canal and Russell was standing there. We both immediately knew it was going to be serious.”
The book author continued, “I never imagined we would be sitting there having this conversation, so much time has passed but I have a deep appreciation and love for this person even though I don’t know this person now. He was so different.” She also explained that they had to “rebuild foundations and trust again” but she is confident they did it the “right way.”
Russell, on the other hand, admitted that he changed a lot before reconnecting with Laura, who he first dated when she was just 19 years old. “I don’t compare my relationships now to previous relationships out of respect to my present wife and to Katy Perry,” he said.
The comedian also added, “I think I’m an easier person to be with now. I’m also in a very different situation. I’m dependent on my wife. In relationships, there is always going to be a level of dependency. But I try not to project my problems onto other people and perhaps I’ve not always been like that.”
Russell and Laura started their own family and are parents to two daughters, Mabel and Peggy. Speaking about the time he found out she was pregnant, Laura said, “He really wanted to become a father. He dropped to the floor and he was just absolutely over the moon.”
