With Gene Simmons, the same ordeal took place, as his past infidelities were brought up. He and his wife Shannon Tweed have had many ups and downs throughout their four decades together, and this moment alongside Joy Behar definitely shows that.

We'll relive the moment, along with taking a look at their relationship and how the fans reacted to the moment.

What Really Happened Between Shannon Tweed And Gene Simmons?

It is surreal to think that Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed have been together since 1983, that spans four decades. The two finally got hitched in 2011, though despite the marriage, it didn't come without its fairshare of struggles.

  • Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmon first met at the Playboy Mansion in the early '80s. Tweed was named 'Playboy Playmate' of the year in 1982.

Their marriage was known as an open one, though Gene Simmons does regret his ways, as he revealed alongside Us Magazine.

“In the interest of full disclosure, I have been married for more than five or six years. For 29 years … I was a jackass. And it’s a family show and I don’t wanna say anything that moved. I don’t wanna say that. And the astonishing thing about women is … I don’t know why, but you forgive our trespasses over and over, every single day. Guys wouldn’t do that.”

“I believe that women see the big picture. For one thing, you give life. We just work here. We can’t do anything. We can’t ask for directions, we can’t do that… We don’t understand the emotional component. We’re just not designed that way.”

Tweed would reveal that when times were tough in the relationship, she hung on especially for the sake of the kids. However, once the children moved on with their lives, it caused major tension between the two and that was well documented during a particular interview.

Shannon Tweed Left Her Interview On 'The Joy Behar Show' After Gene Simmons Made A Comment About His Past

Gene's family was on center-stage for the reality show 'Gene Simmons Family Jewel' which aired on A&E from 2006 up until 2012.

  • Due to expensive budget and declining ratings, 'Gene Simmons Family Jewel' ended after seven strong seasons.

It came to an end in the summer of 2012 and that's when tension started to rise between Simmons and Shannon.

The interview got off to a rough start, with the two obviously upset at one another. As if things could not get any worse, Joy Behar made the bold decision of showing a clip from a past interview alongside Alice Cooper, which showed Behar revealing an old quote of Gene's that he had been with 5,000 women.

After watching the clip, Gene would say, "my back is good, my smeckl, not some much."

Tweed looked on angrily saying, "its nice that you joke about," while walking off the interview chair and giving Simmons a shot on his arm.

It was a tense moment, though Simmons blamed Behar for showing such a clip - one that did not paint him in the best light.

Millions of fans watched the video on YouTube and of course, they had a lot to say.

How Did The Fans React To The Viral Interview Moment Between Tweed And Simmons?
