Married at First Sight is one of those reality dating shows with a premise that guarantees tantalizing drama. Each season, the show’s production team selects and matches ten singles with their prospective life partners. Shockingly, the couples are expected to exchange vows at first sight and decide whether they want to remain married within a few weeks.

With such a bizarre premise, it’s no wonder that most of the marriages engineered by the show’s team of relationship experts end in divorce. Apart from its matchmakers’ questionable matchmaking capabilities, Married at First Sight has been criticized on several occasions for being fake. With this in mind, it’s astounding that the show manages to attract any cast members at all. Here’s why Married at First Sight season 15 cast members decided to take part in the show despite its abysmal success rate.
