Bethenny Frankel quickly became a fan favorite of The Real Housewives Of New York City. Frankel is an OG housewife, joining season one of RHONY in 2008. Bethenny finally exited RHONY for good in 2019, but fans are always wanting to see her rejoin the show. But Bethenny has reasons why she most likely will never return to the show.
Bethenny's Time On 'Real Housewives Of New York City'
Being an OG season one housewife amongst the Bravo community is a big deal for fans. Bethenny Frankel stayed on RHONY until season three and did not return until season seven. Season eleven premiered in 2019, and that marked Frankel's last season.
Fans were not excited about her departure. Frankel is amongst some of the most open housewives, and fans know quite a lot about her life and background as it was shared on the show and on her own Bravo spin-off series Bethenny Ever After.
Frankel has said she started the show because she was "broke and didn't have anything to lose." During the show, Bethenny made some notable friendships with other cast-mates. Bethenny and Jill Zarin were best friends through the show's first few seasons. When Bethenny came back on season seven, she became close with Carole Radziwill.
Yet the two had a huge falling out in season ten and no longer speak. Eventually, Frankel became really close friends with Dorinda Medley, who is still her friend and featured a lot on her Instagram account.
Will Bethenny Return To The Real Housewives Franchise?
The short answer is no. But Bethenny had quite a few things to say about why she would never return. Season thirteen plummeted in views, and fans blame that on Bethenny's departure. They also believe bringing her back would "save" the show.
In a tweet, Bethenny thanked fans for their messages and support about her time on the show. She also thanked Bravo but made it pretty clear that she was happy where she is now without the show in her life.
On her podcast Just B With Bethenny Frankel, she went into some detail about her thoughts on the show that fans have been curious to know about. Bethenny went on to say she believes the franchise has lost "authenticity" and it is not the same as when she first started. The only way she would come is if the show brought that same season one authenticity was brought back.
Bethenny has been known for her blunt humor on the show and in her confessionals. So it was not a surprise when Bethenny said the show now is missing that humor that she once brought. In the season twelve premiere of RHONY, fans got to see the raw reactions of the cast finding out that Bethenny was not returning.
Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps seemed happy about her departure while Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan were sad.
Bethenny has pretty much confirmed and stood her ground that she is not making a return to the show, now or anytime in the future. She called the rumors about her possibly coming back "false" and said she has not talked to Bravo since she left the show in 2019.
What Bethenny Frankel Has Been Up To After RHONY
Bethenny is mostly known for her successful business, SkinnyGirl. She currently has a podcast, Just B With Bethenny Frankel, and a new show, The Big Shot. This year she came out with a book titled Business is Personal: The Truth About What it Takes to Be Successful While Staying True to Yourself.
She spends her time with her daughter, Bryn, who is now eleven years old. Fans never saw Frankel's daughter Bryn on RHONY because the star didn't think it was the right place for a child. More recently, Bethenny has shared many Instagram posts of her and Bryn. Bryn even appeared on Bethenny's podcast.
Bethenny is now engaged to her fiancé, Paul Bernon. Bernon is a businessman and film producer. They look happy as ever in posts on Bethenny's Instagram.
Though she seems satisfied with her drama-free life these days, it is unclear how many former cast-mates Bethenny still keeps in touch with. She for certain is still close friends with Dorinda Medley. While fans would love to see Bethenny back, she is definitely thriving without the show and still has many supporters.
