"Rob calls her a superhero without a cape, which is really a great way to describe her," Kristen Bell said about show creator Rob Thomas. "And Veronica's superpower is that she does not care what anyone else thinks about her. She cares what she thinks about her, which I think is a really healthy way to live."
She has praised Rob for understanding her and the connection she has with the writer. "I remembered that I have a connection with (creator) Rob Thomas that I don’t have with any other writer. I feel as though he’s writing words that are already in my brain. He’s the only writer where I never struggle with memorization. He can write me an entire page of dialogue, I’ll read it through twice, and never have to look at it again."

Kristen Bell became a mother in the fifteen years between Veronica Mars seasons. When she chose to join season 4, she had to make the decision to leave her two young children at home.
"Ultimately, I made the decision that I want this girl, Veronica Mars, to be representation for other women, young girls ... men, boys, anybody," Bell revealed. "I want her to exist, and I want her to exist for my daughters."
"But in my heart, I know, I knew, that you're gonna have this as a reference, and it's going to be a marker in your life, the way that, like, our parents looked at Mary Tyler Moore or any woman who, sort of, paved a new way," she said.
"So I said, 'Okay, I will be a really hard-working mom right now. I'll let my husband take care of bedtimes for six months,'" she said.

Kristen Bell admitted the angry response to the death was "bigger" than she had expected. She also commented that the controversial moment was good for the series, arguing that "without conflict, there is no show".
"It was bigger than I expected," she said of the fan's reaction. "Some people had Veronica Mars as their avatar and then used a cross-out symbol. I was like, 'This hurt people'."
"If she had a perfect relationship, there wouldn't be a show," she added.

As long as the fans want more, I will try to do it again."
Despite Kristen Bell’s love of her iconic character and the adoration from fans, there isn’t going to be a season 5. At least not anytime soon.
