Meemaw, played by Annie Potts, hasn't had an easy go of things since the Medford tornado ripped through her house in the devastating Young Sheldon season 6 finale. At the start of season 7, Meemaw is living in the Coopers' house before moving in with her boyfriend, Dale, which also proves to be complicated for the 70-year-old.

Meemaw's gambling room is one of the only things she has left that is truly her own, but now she may soon lose that too, as seen in the promotional clip for season 7, episode 7.

This Isn't The First Time Meemaw Has Been In Trouble With The Law

While Meemaw is forever Sheldon Cooper's doting grandma, Connie Tucker has a wild side to her that has been evident across Young Sheldon seasons 1-7.

  • In season 2, episode 4, "A Financial Secret and Fish Sauce," Meemaw is arrested for a DWI after switching Georgie spots after getting pulled over, since he didn't have a license and she didn't want him to get in trouble.
  • In season 5, episode 4, "Pish Posh and a Secret Back Room," Meemaw buys the laundromat and backroom gambling den, only for it to get seized by the police in the same episode.
  • In the season 5 finale, "A Clogged Pore, a Little Spanish and the Future," and the first episode of season 6, Meemaw and Georgie are arrested after attempting to smuggle cigarettes across the border to sell in the gambling room.

Meemaw's illegal gambling den has become increasingly risky for not only Meemaw, but also Georgie, who runs it right alongside his grandma. In season 7, episode 2, “A Roulette Wheel and a Piano Playing Dog,” Meemaw takes an even bigger risk by adding a roulette wheel, even after Georgie expresses his reluctance.

Fans may be surprised if Meemaw's gambling parlor is totally shut down for good in season 7, episode 7, as it has become a big part of Sheldon's grandma's storyline, but as viewers know, Young Sheldon ends with season 7 and the creators have a lot of loose ends to tie up before the series finale.

Sheldon Cooper's Meemaw in Big Bang Theory differs greatly from the fiery spirit we see in Young Sheldon, and Meemaw getting busted for illegal gambling while caring for CeeCee could mark the start of that major character shift in the canon.
